Hello, and thanks for coming to my blog! I hope you will find your visit here at least interesting, if not helpful or useful in some way. You must be coming to my about me page to find out more……about me, so let me fill you in on a few little details about myself. I’m an IT Professional, a husband and father and a few other things… I have three amazing kids and a wonderful wife. This blog is my own personal brain dump, where you’ll find anything from pointless personal posts, to useful technical articles.
I work directly for the CIO/Vice President at a global fortune 500 company based in New York and work out of their Tampa office. I have over nine professional certifications, including: MCP, MCSA 2000, MCSE 2000, MCSA 2003, MCSE 2003, MCSA + Security, MCSE + Security, and CompTIA Security +. I am MCPJoe on Experts Exchange (look for me there).
In my spare time I enjoy doing web work (among other things, I’m not a total geek), meaning I enjoy web design, graphics editing, and general tinkering. I tried starting a web hosting company once and still maintain the remnants of that company but its basically non-functional right now. I may bring it back to life with a slightly different structure and purpose. I maintain several other websites and offer my help where I can to friends and family, as well as non-profit and charitable organizations.
I gave podcasting a try last year and gave up on it, now that its not new anymore, its hard to find a “niche” among all the podcasters. I also enjoy music, the outdoors, driving my Miata Jetta, and spending time with my family.
Oh, and while you are here, scroll all the way down to the bottom of my blog, take a look on the right hand corner…see those palm trees? Don’t you like them? No one ever noticed my custom palm trees…
